Inspiration
Designer Suk Chai has titled her spring 2017 collection “Monsoon.” “When the hard, heavy rains come you have two choices: You can duck and run, or you can submit and submerge; you can agree to be inundated, and experience it as a kind of cleansing—a supernatural cleansing.” She has placed this idea within a “right-now” fashion context and has created burn-out textures, semi-sheer stripes, linens and cottons and Italian cottons in beautiful inky/water tones.
