Working between Seattle and New York, Suk Chai is a Korean-born designer who focuses on crafting timeless silhouettes with the strong tailoring of Italian and Japanese textiles through her personal brand, Schai. As the youngest daughter of a fisherman inheriting her siblings’ wardrobe, one after the other, Suk understood at a very young age the value of patience, quality of fabrics and construction. With her twenty years experience in the fashion industry and her strong personal beliefs, Suk is a designer and artist who does not compromise over beauty, longevity and comfort. Schai offers tailored and architectural lines with asymmetrical finishes, surprising details, powerful hues in the chosen color palettes turning the familiar into the splendid.
